Color Blue Is Featured In Woodruff's Art Center Exhibit

- "Ready to Sail" by Falmouth artist Mary Jane Conary will be among the featured paintings on exhibit at Woodruff's Art Center in Mashpee Commons from June 12 through July 27.

“Cape Cod Blue: Land, Sea and Sky” an art exhibition presented by the South Cape Artists, will take place June 12 through July 27 at Woodruff’s Art Center in Mashpee Commons. A reception will be held on Thursday, June 12, from 6 to 8 PM.

The show celebrates the color blue in all its glory.

The color will be artistically interpreted in its many obvious, and maybe not so obvious, manifestations.

South Cape Artists was formed in 2009 by a group of friends meeting weekly to paint the Cape’s coastal scenes and other landmarks. The group now comprises 10 award-winning artists who have developed a fellowship strengthened by creating art depicting the beauty of Cape Cod.

Members of the group are Eleanor Appleyard, Mary Jane Conary, Betsy Payne Cook, Fred Luconi, Bill Noble, Rebecca O’Donnell, Candice Ronesi, Susan Sigel, Roseanne Williams, and Linda Young.

Woodruff’s Art Center hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM; and Sunday, 11 AM to 5 PM.
