Bourne Health Board Cuts Ties With Its Odor Consultant

The Bourne Board of Health voted Wednesday night to remove Michael T. Lannan as the board’s representative on odor control issues.

Mr. Lannan, an engineering consultant with expertise in odor, noise and nuisance issues, was hired in 2012 to help the board of health and the Landfill Business Model Working Group evaluate proposals for alternatives to burying trash at the town landfill.

The board removed Mr. Lannan for “non-performance.” Members said that he did not provide them with requested information regarding a proposed lease with Harvest Power ahead of a recent joint meeting between the board of health, the Bourne Board of Selectmen and the Department of Integrated Solid Waste Management.
