Bourne Man With Chest Wounds Airlifted To Hospital

A man found Thursday, July 24, on Ships View Terrace with knife wounds in his chest was airlifted via Boston MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital, a trauma treatment center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Bourne Fire Rescue responded at 9:04 AM to the address, according to Deputy Fire Chief Dana Dupuis.

Due to the severity of the wounds, Bourne Fire Rescue requested the assistance of Boston MedFlight, which picked the man up in a nearby landing zone near the state police barracks and transported him to the hospital.

Bourne police, who said that the incident was not criminal in nature, assisted at the scene.
