Boys & Girls Club Wellness Night

The Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod will host a free substance abuse wellness night on Tuesday, April 29, from 6 to 8 PM.

The event was organized by Mashpee High School senior and Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year Shy Ann Jackson for her senior project, and was inspired by personal experiences with substance abuse in her family.

Featured speakers will include Shy Ann; representatives from the high school’s chapter of Project Purple; Alateen, a fellowship of young Al-Anon members who have been affected by someone else’s drinking; the Structured Outpatient Addiction Program (SOAP); Gosnold on Cape Cod; Barnstable County Sheriff James M. Cummings; and Mashpee Fire Captain John F. Phelan.

Baked good and beverages will be provided by members of the Keystone Club, a Boys & Girls Club leadership program.
