A two-part citizens’ training for shellfish propagation programs will be offered Wednesday, May 28, and Tuesday, June 3, from 9 to 11 AM at the Harborview Conference Room in Barnstable Village. It is sponsored by the Barnstable County Cooperative Extension and Woods Hole Sea Grant.
The workshop is for volunteers who wish to help towns add more shellfish to bays. It will provide participants with a foundation in shellfish biology, aquaculture techniques and best management practices to raise clams and oysters locally.
The program is free to the public. Participants are asked to reserve a space by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or 781-936-8773.
