The Mashpee Wampanoag Museum continues its schedule of activities this month at the museum at 414 Main Street. The museum is open each Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, and can be reached at 508-477-9339. Museum programs and events are free of charge to Mashpee tribal members.
June 21, 10 AM to 4 PM—Celebrate and give thanks to the season’s first fruit. The day will be filled with food and craft vendors, traditional cooking demonstrations, cornhusk doll-making, native games, and singing and dancing. Call the museum for the day’s schedule of activities.

June 28, 1 to 3 PM—Come and learn about this versatile hard shell clam and why we love it so much! Sample a cup of paqahâakee sâpâheek, make a rattle made from the shell. Wampanoag traditional artist Darrel Wixon demonstrates wampum making with a handcrafted pump drill; participants can try drilling a hole in a piece of wampum.
