The National Association of Letter Carriers’ Food Drive will take place on Saturday, May 10, with Falmouth collections going to the Falmouth Service Center.
Residents are asked to put their donations in double plastic bags and place them by the mailbox.
The service center is most in need of canned meats, low-sodium soups, canned vegetables, low-sugar fruits, 100 percent juice, pasta, cereal, rice and lunch box snacks.
A part of the Cape Cod Hunger Network, Falmouth Service Center is focused on foods and beverages which “help achieve and maintain a healthy weight, promote health, and prevent disease.” A complete list of healthy food donation suggestions is at www.falmouthservicecenter.org/healthy-food-donation-list.html.
For this food drive, items in glass containers should not be donated.
