Falmouth, Mashpee Chiefs Of Police To Talk Gun Safety

Falmouth Police Chief Edward Dunne and Mashpee Police Chief Rodney Collins will speak on gun safety issues and pending state legislation, Thursday, June 19, at 7 PM at the Falmouth Public Library’s Hermann Foundation Meeting Room.

The meeting is sponsored by Grandmothers Against Gun Violence, a non-partisan Cape Cod group founded in January 2013 in the wake of the Sandy Hook, Connecticut, school shooting. The group welcomes people of all ages who seek to end gun violence.

Meeting topics include tools for parents such as the new police Consent to Search program; the free gun lock program from Project Child Safe.org; and the Brady Center’s ASK campaign, ways to find if guns are in a friend’s home.
