Families can learn about Buzzards Bay’s animals, plants and habitats during the Buzzards Bay Coalition’s Itty Bitty Bay Explorers program, a series of four free outings featuring games, stories and hands-on activities on Wednesdays in July from 10 to 11 AM.
Itty Bitty Bay Explorers is recommended for families with young children. Families may attend all four programs, but it is not required. During outdoor exploration days near the water, families should dress to get wet and sandy/muddy.
Itty Bitty Bay Explorers takes place at different locations in Falmouth. On July 2 Prepare for Exploration will take place at the Buzzards Bay Discovery Center at 21 Luscombe Avenue in Woods Hole; on July 9 the theme will be Beach Discovery at Wood Neck Beach off Sippewissett Road in Falmouth; on July 16 the theme is Forest Investigation at Beebe Woods, Ter Heun Drive in Falmouth.
The final program, on July 23, is titled Salt Marsh Discovery and will be held at Wood Neck Beach.
