Hope Community Care, part of HopeHealth services, announced new community bereavement support groups beginning in April to be held in Falmouth and Mashpee. At the HopeHealth Falmouth office, 359 Main Street, will be Loss of a Parent, on Mondays, April 21 through June 9, from 3 to 4:30 PM; Spousal Loss, Tuesdays, April 22 through June 10, 10 to 11:30 AM; Young Widows/Widowers, for those 45 and younger, Fridays, April 25 through June 13, 11 AM to 12:30 PM.
At Mashpee Senior Center, 26 Frank E. Hicks Drive, individual question-and-answer sessions are offered on the second Monday of the month, in which three 45-minute monthly appointments are available for anyone who would like an individual consultation with a grief specialist. These are scheduled by appointment only between 10 AM and noon.
Also at the Mashpee Senior Center, Horizon Café will be held Tuesdays, May 20 through June 24, from 3 to 4 PM, in which one can share and explore ideas and feelings related to the final stage of life, including death.
