Ninth Annual Cape Cod Canal Boating, Water Safety Day

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Cape Cod Canal, will host the ninth annual Cape Cod Boating and Water Safety Day on Saturday, May 24, from 10 AM to 2 PM, at the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center, 60 Ed Moffitt Drive in Sandwich.


In addition to the Corps of Engineers, the US Coast Guard, Massachusetts State and Environmental Police, and many others will present a day full of water and boating safety activities for all ages. Activities will include dockside boat tours of US Army Corps of Engineers and US Coast Guard vessels at the Sandwich Marina, and tours of the US Coast Guard Station Cape Cod Canal. Also, there will be water and boating safety programs, demonstrations, games and giveaways. Attendees can also bring their boat and, from 9 AM to 2 PM, at the marina, the Coast Guard auxiliary will be conducting free vessel safety checks.
