The Sandwich Town Fair will be held Tuesday, July 8, to Saturday, July 12.
Held at Sandwich High School, the fair began 30 years ago when members of the Sandwich School Committee joined with sports boosters to bring Billy Burr’s Fun-O-Rama to the school, with some proceeds from the rides going to support Sandwich extracurricular programs.
Today, with Rockwell Amusements providing the rides and games, the Sandwich Town Fair supports athletic programs at the high school, the Knights Theater Company, student council, the junior and senior classes, the high school band and chorus programs, the French exchange program, and the international studies program.
Ticket booths, parking, and cleanup details are staffed by volunteers.
Wristbands allowing fairgoers unlimited access to rides every day except Friday will cost $25 each day, and local newspapers will have coupons.
This year’s schedule:
Tuesday, July 8, to Thursday, July 10, 6 PM to closing: Fair and rides, wristband nights.
Friday, July, 11, 6 PM to closing: Fair and rides, fireworks.
Saturday, July 12, 4 PM to closing: Fair and rides, wristband night, rain date for fireworks.
