Volunteers are needed to help run the 45th Annual Scallop Festival on September 19, 20 and 21 at its new location at Cape Cod Fairgrounds, 1220 Nathan Ellis Highway (Route 151) in East Falmouth.
The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce expects more than 50,000 people to attend the festival. Servers, bus greeters, hospitality hosts and runners are need to work in four-hour shifts in the morning, early afternoon, and late afternoon-evening.
“We now need 500 volunteers to make the Scallop Fest work,” said Marie Oliva, the chamber’s president and CEO.
Candidates can visit www.scallopfest.org to register online or call the chamber at 508-759-6000, extension 10, to have a volunteer form faxed or mailed to them.
Parking is available for volunteers, who will receive a free T-shirt and free admission to the festival. Individuals and company teams are welcome.
