The GoPro is one of the latest innovations in camera technology and Falmouth Community Television (FCTV) now has four ready for use for its members’ video projects. Small, durable, and waterproof, the GoPro can be mounted anywhere to capture close-ups and POV (point-of-view) shots, a process about which videographers and filmmakers once could only dream.
The GoPro is simple in its functionality, but allows users to create dynamic and often breathtaking footage and photographs. According to a recent “Business Insider” article, “The GoPro camera has revolutionized the way that people capture the world around them.”
FCTV members can experience the GoPro revolution by attending a one-evening workshop that will focus on getting the most out of the camera, including lens and recording settings, memory management, successful mounting techniques, and more. GoPro 101 takes place on Thursday, August 14, from 7 to 9 PM and Monday, September 22, from 7 to 9 PM.
Other classes coming up at FCTV include Video Editing with Final Cut Pro X, Social Media For Non-Profits, Motion Graphics, Introduction to Field Production, and many others.
Visit www.FCTV.org or pick up a printed schedule at the station located at 310A Dillingham Avenue in Falmouth.
Classes are open to current FCTV members. Membership to FCTV is $30 for individuals and $75 for organizations and families. FCTV memberships are good for one year.
