Get Inside the Fish (Dissection Lab) at 3 PM: Where does squid ink come from? What is a lateral line on a fish? In this hands-on workshop dissect a squid, herring, or (February 18 only) dogfish. Along the way, discover adaptations that allow these animals to live in the ocean. Best suited for ages 12 to 16. Safety note: involves handling sharp cutting objects. Space is limited to 15 children. Program lasts 45 to 60 minutes. Reserve by calling at least 24 hours in advance. Cost: members $3/child/program; nonmembers $5/child/program.
