The Turtle Whisperer @ Long Pasture Audubon

Turtles and tortoises have existed relatively unchanged for nearly 215 million years, yet the world's 300 species of chelonians are arguably the most endangered vertebrates on earth. Long Pasture director and herpetologist Ian Ives will focus on the turtles of Cape Cod (with living examples) such as the rare diamondback terrapin, the red-bellied cooter,and the prehistoric-looking snapping turtle. The program is suitable for ages 3 and up.
Registration is required and can be done online or by calling 508-362-1426. The fee is $7 for adult members and $5 for child members ($9 and $7 for nonmembers).
