Hopping down the bunny trail @ Mashpee River Reserve
When: Sat Apr 12th
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Where: Old Barnstable Road
Trustees of Reservations will offer a guided walk at the Mashpee River Reserve to learn about the New England cottontail and efforts to improve habitat for this rare rabbit. Creating clearings in the mature forest that allow shrubland to grow back could be the key to this species’ survival and this process can be witnessed firsthand during the walk. The program will be led by Marianne Piché of the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife. The program is free for trustees members, $5 for nonmembers.
