Tick Discussion @ Falmouth Public Library

Larry Dapsis, 3ntomologist for the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension Service, will speak about the Cape Cod tick hazard. Lyme isease is the most prevalent infectious disease in Massachusetts, and is now considered to be a public health crisis.  In addition to Lyme disease, deer ticks carry the pathogens which cause Babesiosis and Anaplasmosis, both of which can be extremely serious and are on the increase.
