John Mayall the man the legend the guitar-sorcerer comes to the outer Cape for the first time. An exploratory artist who took American blues to the U.K. and made it his own, Mayall has been dubbed the "Godfather of British blues." He’s still touring like crazy and passionate as ever about his timeless music. From the beginning Mayall had a keen eye for talent, first wooing Eric Clapton from the Yardbirds and then discovering Peter Green and Mick Taylor. Literally hundreds of great bluesmen have been part of his band, the Bluesbreakers and learned from the master himself. Mayall's new band mirrors the framework of past ensembles… an assemblage of exceptional musicians in their own right. Get ready to move Monday, July 16 --- our tent may be located in North Truro, but don’t be surprised if it ends up in a nearby town by the end of this concert.
