Jenni Lyn Gardner is an impeccable mandolinist. She has traveled throughout the world performing alongside bluegrass’ best musicians, and has played on the stages of The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, The Bluebird Café, The World Famous Station Inn, and The Legendary Club Passim. Jenni Lyn is a sought after session musician, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
Her love for music came at an early age and she began playing playing music and writing songs. Jenni Lyn was given a guitar by her Grandmother at age 5. It was her Father that gave Jenni Lyn her first mandolin and she soon began performing in the family band called The Gardner’s. Her parents encouraged her to play music and enrolled her in classical piano lessons and also mandolin lessons with well-known bluegrass artist, Alan Bibey. She and her family attended bluegrass festivals and concerts regularly, often performing themselves.
Jenni Lyn played a song with Bill Monroe back stage at a bluegrass festival in North Carolina when she was 9 years old. She has toured extensively with IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year, Bradley Walker, Cages Bend, Mark Newton and Alecia Nugent, performing at many bluegrass festivals and venues. She is a member of the all girl super group, Della Mae and is touring throughout the country with appearances at Greyfox Bluegrass Festival, Rockygrass and a tour throughout Germany. She has an undying love and passion for the roots and future of bluegrass music. It’s who she is.
