Opening Night Gala – Oyster Tasting, Bubbly, Dignitaries, After Show Event
SUNDAY GALA Dignitaries to include – Dr. Katsuyoshi Mori traveling to the Cape from Japan, State Rep Sarah Peake, Dr. Anamarija Frankic from Umass Boston, Rodney Clarke from Toronto, life-time oyster aficianado, leading Scientists from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. Together, we will participate in a dialogue about the themes in the play, and the significance of the oyster to our collective wellbeing. Tickets $40
In this aqua-cultural fusion of science and art, the audience will meet Sammy Spat, an oyster and a host of other sea creatures including the seductress Stella the Starfish, Louie the Lobster, on the run from a nurse shark trying to milk him for some roe, and Allison Alewife, the rebellious youth who breaks away from the school. You’ll laugh and be equally touched by this oyster’s adventure to discover his mission in life. Like Sammy, this show is “one in a million.” Featuring larger than life imagery and masks, music and dance, this comedy is as educational as it is entertaining.
