Plein Air Paint Out by the Guild of Chatham Painters - 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Artists will be working all around town --Look for the red, yellow, and blue balloons at the Fish Pier, Chatham Lighthouse overlook, Mitchell River Bridge, Oyster Pond Beach, Morris Island Causeway, the Train Depot, the "Lime House" (Cape Abilities "Farm to Table" store in the Old Village), the Band Stand in Kate Gould Park, and near other landmarks in downtown Chatham.
Artists set up their easels, pull out their brushes and document the beautiful landscape and scenery of the Chatham area. Plein Air, meaning "Open Air" in French, is based on the 19th century European practice of painting outdoors rather than in the studio. Paintings will be available for sale.
