Bird Carvers & Wildlife Art Show @ Green Briar Nature Center

The 9th Annual Bird Carvers and Wildlife Arts Show will take place on September 8 and 9 at the Green Briar Nature Center. New England's most prestigious carvers of birds and animals as well as wildlife artists will be on exhibit and selling their works.  
The featured carver this year is Frank Adamo of Pocasset. A self-taught artist who has been carving wildlife on Cape Cod since 1970, his carving interests include songbirds, shore birds, waterfowl and game fish. 
Additional carvers from the Cape include June Noll of Brewster, Eric Kaiser of Cotuit, Sheila Bowen of Sandwich, Steve Weaver of Forestdale, James Alexander of North Eastham, Randy and Elaine Fisher of Dennis and George Russas of South Dennis. Some carvers will be giving demonstrations for the public. Visitors may bring decoys and bird carvings to the show for appraisal at no charge. Refreshments will be available.
 Hours are 10 to 4 PM both Saturday and Sunday, and admission is payable at the door. The admission fee of $3 for members of the Thornton W. Burgess Society and $5 for non-members will benefit the environmental education programs of the Burgess Society and its Green Briar Nature Center.
