DAVID LEWIS 5K RUN/WALK FOR RECOVERY TO BENEFIT GOSNOLD
Hundreds will gather Saturday, September 1st to kick off National Recovery Month with the 2nd Annual David Lewis 5K Run/Walk for Recovery sponsored by Botello Lumber. September is National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. Recovery Month celebrates persons in recovery, families, and all supporting recovery.
The David Lewis 5K Run/Walk for Recovery is in memory of David Lewis of Hyannis, who died of a heart attack at age 39. His time at Gosnold allowed him eight wonderful years in sobriety before he was taken from his family and friends far too soon. By supporting Gosnold, the Lewis family hopes to help many others find the peace, love and prosperity offered by a lasting recovery.
The event offers free t-shirts to the first 200 registrants; music, awards, and food following the event; and an opportunity for people to run, race or walk the course with family and friends. September is recovery month and race proceeds will benefit Gosnold on Cape Cod.
To register for this event go to www.DavidLewis5K.com or contact Jodi Landers at 508-540-6550 ext. 5241.
