Fire in the Hole! @ Quick's Hole

Summer may be cooling down, but Quick’s Hole will be racheting up the heat with a “Fire in the Hole” salsa contest and chili pepper sampling.
Attendees will be able to sample a variety of heirloom chili peppers grown by Robert (Rooster) Fricke, including the hottest pepper in the world: the Trinidad Moruga scorpion, registering two million Scoville Heat Units.
Fricke will also give a talk on chili peppers, offering up fun facts, sharing recipes and answering questions about his chilis.
Residents are also invited to bring in their best salsa for a taste-test contest. The salsas that receive the most votes will win a Zimbabwe bird pepper plant and other hot items.
Quick’s Hole will provide small plates and finger food prepared by chef Stephanie Mikolazyk.
