Discover the seasonal homes of 4 endangered species, learn about spring bird migrants, and hear the legend of buried pirate's treasure with Mass Audubon's Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary Director
Ian Ives, as we paddle across Cotuit Bay to Sampson's Island.
Actual paddling time will be 2.5 hours. Participants should be able to swim and have basic kayaking experience. They will be required to wear a life vest. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult; no one under 12 allowed. Strenuous. Limited to 12 / minimum of 10.
Dry bags, safety equipment, paddles and single and tandem kayaks will be provided. Participants should bring water, snack, hat, bug spray and sun block.
Fees:
$40 per person for BLT/MAS members, which includes all equipment.
$45 per person non-members, which includes all equipment.
No price reduction for bringing your own equipment.
