Harvest Festival @ Barnstable County Fairgrounds

When: Sat Sep 29th
10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Where: Barnstable County Fairgrounds | 1220 Nathan Ellis Hwy | East Falmouth

Entering its 18th year of harvest celebrations and the welcoming of fall, the Barnstable County Fairground's Harvest Festival is back again, showcasing local arts, crafts and agriculture and will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 29 and 30 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Moved up this year to take advantage of the waning days of summer and warm weather, the Festival has been expanded thanks to the addition of the first ever Cape Cod Brew Festival. Also new this year is a pumpkin slingshot competition and a larger arts and crafts vendor program.
"There's a huge opportunity for us to showcase very talented local artists and crafters, and to highlight area farmers doing great things with local, organic, Cape-grown produce," says Wendy Brown, General Manager of the Barnstable County Fair. "Our mission is to promote and continue the agricultural tradition of Cape Cod and southeastern Massachusetts." The weekly Green Harvest Organic Farmers Market will be open for special Saturday and Sunday sessions at the festival, with local produce, vegetables, jams and organic snacks available for purchase.
Rockwell Amusements will be operating rides for kids such as hayrides and pony rides. The annual horse show, goat show and all-new pet show provide opportunities to both educate and entertain the next generation of Cape residents.
The new Cape Cod Brew Fest, a separate ticketed event, will showcase over 60 varieties of beer from 30 different breweries, mostly from the New England area. Brew Fest goers get a complimentary admission into the Harvest Festival. This is the first event of its kind on Cape Cod.
Local bands round out the Harvest Festival, providing entertainment throughout both the 29th and the 30th. These bands are to be announced at a later date.
