Fall for the Arts Festival Launch Party @ Hyannis Village Green

On Saturday, September 29, the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod will launch the fifth annual Fall for the Arts Festival all across Cape Cod with free concert events in four towns. These events will feature some of the Cape's best musicians, poets and fine artists. The festival is in partnership with the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority, Cape Cod Media Group, TD Wealth Management and Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. 
 On the Hyannis Village Green, at 2 PM, there will be music performed by The Harry Steele Project. Poetry will be read by Gregory Hischack with a post concert Gallery Tour of the Guyer Barn art exhibit. 
In Mashpee, the public Library will host music by Robertchez. Poet, Christine Rathbun Ernst, will read from her works. The event takes place at 3 PM.
The CrabGrass Bluegrass Band will perform music at the New Church in Yarmouth Port. Poet Barry Hellman, presented by the Cape Cod Poetry Review, will read. Activities will begin at 4 PM.
The Bart Weisman Smooth Jazz Group will play jazz standards at 2 PM at the Kate Gould Park in Chatham. Susan Berlin will read poetry. There will be a post concert gallery tour by the Chatham Artists Guild including Gallery Antonia, Focus Gallery and Nickerson Art Gallery
The Fall for the Arts Festival is designed to highlight the region's exciting cultural scene, extend the tourism season and to encourage Cape residents to get out and experience the rich arts and culture that exists in the region. Offering visitors and residents the opportunity to meet and talk with artists, enjoy live entertainment, discover cultural organizations, visit museums and take a walk through Cape history are activities that will continue to distinguish us as a cultural center.
