Heritage's Director of Horticulture, Les Lutz, will lead an array of programs during the month of October.

On the 13th, we will explore "Landscaping with Indigenous Plants" where participants will discover the beauty of landscaping with native plants. Les will discuss the benefits of using native plants, how to choose them, and how to use them in your landscape. Participants will leave this program with a list of recommended plant materials and ideas. Advance registration is required. Members are $40 per person and non-members are $45 per person.

Starting at 2pm on 13th, Les will lead an informative stroll through our gardens in his "Traveling Trees Walk" which will explore the diverse selection of trees at Heritage. Participants will learn about the trees' origins, native habitats and usefulness on the Cape. The fee to participate is $15 for members and $17 for non-members.

Finally, on the 24th, Les will lead our monthly walk and talk through the gardens focusing on "Fall Color." This discussion will highlight which plants produce amazing fall colors. This program is free with admission.
