On Sunday, November 11 at 2 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will present A History of Chowder – Four Centuries of a New England Meal with Robert S Cox, PhD.

As the subject of the first program in a new Museum series on local food, A History of Chowder, written by Dr. Cox and Jacob Walker, follows the cultural beginnings of this iconic dish to its identity and anatomy - from salt pork to potatoes, fish and clams. The development of chowder through human history is as fascinating as the varieties of the meal itself.
A feast of a program for all chowder lovers, including chowder tasting by George’s Fish Market.
