Coonamessett Farm will host an Artisans Fair from 10 AM until 3 PM on Saturday and Sunday, November 10 and 11, under the farm's pavilion and in the parking lot greenhouse. , 277 Hatchville Road in Falmouth,
Locally made wares will include inlaid wooden cutting boards and boxes; handcrafted jewelry of stones, beads and silver; homemade French macaroon cookies filled with original sweet flavors; holiday wreaths and hydrangea wreaths; batik paintings; items made to raise money for charity causes, and much more. The farm gift shop will also feature lovely alpaca clothing and items on sale, 15% off for farm members and 10% off for non-members.
On Saturday, November 10, during the Artisans' Fair hours, Falmouth Cub Scout Pack 43 will launch pumpkins with an authentic wooden trebuchet catapult to raise money for their troop. Participants may launch a pumpkin for $3. Entrance to the farm is, as usual, $8 for non-members and free for members. $3 of the $8 admission fee can be applied toward a trebuchet launching.
From 9 AM until 2 PM on Monday, November 12, Veterans Day, the farm will host the "Ecocross" cyclocross bike races sponsored by International Cycling and the Corner Cycle Cycling Club. Pre-registration and other information is available by searching for Coonamessett Farm Ecocross at BikeReg.com.
During all of these events and on the remaining Saturdays and Sundays in the month of November, the Coonamessett Farm Cafe will offer a special Jamaican Plate lunch plate back by popular demand. The plates are $7.95 and include jerk chicken, rice and beans, a Coonamessett Farm side salad and corn bread. The cafe's full breakfast and lunch menu will also be available on those days, serving until 3 PM.
Seasonal farm memberships for 2013 are available for purchase now, with bonus membership for the remainder of the 2012 season.
