Peter Donnelly sings warm, intimate ballads and courageous, unapologetic, and often humorous songs reflecting myriad contemporary topics. His music is a blend of pop, folk, rock, and country influenced by the music of Greg Brown, Shawn Colvin, Leonard Cohen, and others. He mixes in little anecdotes about life, creating a very personal and memorable experience. He will also perform popular standards.
A host and performer at the Coffeehouse at the Mews Restaurant in Provincetown for 20 years, Mr. Donnelly has also performed across the US.
Mr. Donnelly has released three albums, the most recent of which is “Road with No End,” a compilation CD recorded on Cape Cod and produced by local jazz enthusiast Bart Weisman. Mr. Donnelly’s song, “Dance All Night Long,” was used in the soundtrack of the film “First Impressions,” directed by Wes Horner and selected for screening at film festivals in Provincetown, Washington, DC, and Barcelona, Spain.
Mr. Weisman on drums and string bassist Laird Boles will perform with Mr. Donnelly.
