KIDS FILMS at the Woods Hole Public Library
January 5 and following  Saturdays, 3 PM
The Woods Hole Public Library will begin their winter film series for
kids on Saturday, January 5 at 3 PM and will continue all through the
month , every Saturday. As always in the past, the Library is not
allowed, by the restrictions in their contract with the film
companies, to name the title of the film in any publicity that is sent
out. However, clues and riddles can be given, and interested people
can always call the Library where a Librarian will be, not only
willing, but able, to  speak the name of the film.
The first film in the series is an update, released in 2012, of a
story by Dr. Seuss. The title is a single word, the name of the main
character in the story, which is one letter different from a
(formerly) popular cleaning product. He is described in Dr. Seuss’s
book as “shortish. And oldish. And brownish. And mossy. And he spoke
with a voice that was sharpish and bossy.” The character continues by
saying “I am the ______. I speak for the trees. I speak for the trees,
for the trees have no tongues.”
The film runs 86 minutes.
If you cannot guess the name of this, one of the more environmentally
conscious Seuss stories, feel free to call the Library at
