"Finding Miriam" is a funny, inspiring and poignant one-woman show starring Joyce Friedman. Weaving storytelling, song, and puppetry, Joyce brings to life her journey of discovering her relationship with her great-grandmother Miriam and the Biblical Prophetess Miriam. The songlist for this one-act show include songs from the American songbook, Broadway and folk traditions. On her quest to make peace between her great-grandmother and a biblical prophet, Joyce captures the story of an entire generation of American Jewish women and leaves the audience - both women and men, young and old(er) - more connected with their own journeys through time.
