Art students from the Falmouth Public Schools will display their creative works at the Maser Gallery during the month of March. The show, "Celebrate Art," is presented during Youth Art Month, a national celebration to emphasize the value of art education for all children and to encourage support for quality art programs in Falmouth Public Schools.
The work that will be on display is a collection of various media, techniques, and themes by students from kindergarten through grade six.
A closing reception will be held on Thursday, March 28th from 4 to 5 PM of which Falmouth art teachers will attend and refreshments served.
The mission of the Falmouth Art Department is to teach critical thinking skills, encourage creative problem solving, develop positive self-esteem, and promote self-discipline and motivation.
A critical part of the sequential art program is to provide students with instruction from elementary school through high school so students can develop their skills in creating, revising, exhibiting, and assessing their work.
The Maser Gallery is open Sunday and Monday, 2 to 10 PM; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 10 to 10 PM; and Friday 10 to 6 PM.
