"Artist & Bartender" Opening Reception @ Cahoon Museum

Experience the first major retrospective of Captain Joe Miron (1894 to 1980), a bartender of Falmouth’s Casino-by-the-Sea for 30 years.
Besides a bartender, Mr. Miron was also an artist, recognizable from his painting of a large pirate mural at the Captain Kidd Bar in Woods Hole. He was not someone that could be defined and adjectives to describe him include: bohemian, eccentric, bon vivant, raconteur, world traveler, and pirate.
Friday, March 29 from 5:30 to 7 PM the public is invited to the Opening Reception
Tuesday, April 9, 11 AM is a conversation with Suzanne Reilly whose family owned Falmouth’s Casino-by-the-Sea where Captain Miron worked
Tuesday, April 16, 7 PM is a Wine and Book Discussion of the book, “A Red Tide in Winter,” by S. Sweeney Reilly
