This week we're turning our attention to the town of Mashpee. As one of the newer towns on the Cape (it was the second to last to be incorporated, and is the only town on Cape Cod to never have had a railroad station), Mashpee started to become a popular destination for summer and year round residents in the 1970s. From a real estate perspective, this leaves Mashpee with a newer housing stock than many other Cape towns, as it lacks the antique estates that have been passed down from generation to generation. With that being said, there are ample shore and golf-front homes, as well as many well-priced year-round residences in town.
