Mashpee police are investigating a shooting last night at a home on Ninigret Avenue.
According to Mashpee Police Chief Rodney C. Collins, police were called around 10 PM yesterday to report a shooting at the home off Route 151, near Johns Pond.
Officers arrived at 165 Ninigret Avenue in response to the call and subsequently were informed that an individual had been taken to Falmouth Hospital with a gunshot wound.
"We are in the process of interviewing witnesses to the incident and identifying a potential suspect or suspects," Chief Collins said this morning.
Chief Collins declined to release the name of the suspects or the victim.
According to records of the Enterprise, 165 Ninigret Avenue has been of concern to police for several years. The house was the subject of a multi-department raid in 2009. At the time police said they believed the house was the site of a drug dealing operation. Substances believed to be illicit drugs were discovered, but none of the four suspects were arrested after the raid.
See next week's Enterprise for more information about the shooting and the investigation.

I did a search of the address (Drug Den) on Cape Cod Online and found 2 FULL pages of arrests for OUI and dealing Marijuana, Cocain, Percocet, Zolpidem Tartrate, Gun Posssesion, Alcohol and countless other violations from 1999 – 2010… all dismissed so they must be inocent! (Based on the names it’s a complete family enterprise) There have been no new updates… IMO these are cunning career criminals who have and will continue to manupilate the liberal court systems that lawyered up and went silent. (Even if theres an arrest they will do no time and continue being the low life scums that will forever be a burdening to society)
