Local and district police officers arrested an alleged heroin and cocaine dealer after searching his Homestead Lane home on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers from Mashpee, Falmouth and the Cape Cod and Islands Drug Task Force acted on a search warrant shortly after noon Wednesday, July 23, and found approximately four grams of what was believed to be heroin and 5.63 grams of cocaine. Police then arrested Jason H.C. Tobey, 18, of the Homestead Lane address, and Eric M. Campbell, 32, of Teaticket Highway.
Mr. Tobey is facing charges of possession to distribute cocaine and heroin while Mr. Campbell faces possession of cocaine charges.
Since at least June of this year, Falmouth police have regularly patrolled the home at 23 Homestead Lane and made several arrests of people leaving the property in vehicles, most on heroin-related charges.
Falmouth Patrolman Chad A. Leighton has made at least four arrests since June 7.
On Saturday, June 21, shortly after midnight, Ptl. Leighton pulled over the driver of a vehicle driving in the Maravista section of Teaticket after leaving the Homestead address. Two men in the car—Matthew S. Look, 34, of Falmouth and Charles E. Quintal, 32, of Pocasset—were in possession of cocaine and admitted to using heroin earlier in the evening.
On Monday, June 16, at approximately 2:50 in the morning, Ptl. Leighton pulled over Amber E. Wayman, 30, of Monument Beach and arrested her for warrants that included narcotic possession charges.
On Saturday, June 7, Ptl. Leighton arrested Holly M. Hall, 30, of East Falmouth for possession of a Class B drug after he witnessed her driving away from the Homestead address.
Mr. Tobey and Mr. Campbell were arraigned Thursday at Falmouth District Court and were released on personal recognizance. Both are scheduled to return to court for a pretrial hearing set for August 18.
