Mashpee High School held its graduation June 7.
Superintendent Brian A. Hyde suggested establishing a subcommittee to further discuss the issue, and the school committee agreed.
For the first time in nearly a decade, beachgoers and sportsmen will soon be able to easily reach the state-owned Callie’s Beach and the Sedge Lot Pond area in Mashpee.
The vacancy on the committee will be filled by a joint appointment between the school committee and the board of selectmen.
The construction project will be managed by the Mashpee DPW.
If the petition gets the appropriate number of signatures, then a special election will be scheduled and nomination papers will become available.
