Mashpee Arrest Yields Suspect in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island Jewelry Store Robberies

A suspect in jewelry store heists in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island was arrested in Mashpee last night.

Kevin Wheeler, 27, was arrested without incident at his parents’ home on Santuit Pond Road at 6:45 PM on warrants for unarmed robbery, and larceny over $250. The Attleboro Police Department alerted local law enforcement officials that Mr. Wheeler may be in Mashpee. Mr. Wheeler is a suspect in a recent "smash and grab" robbery of Northeast Jewelry on Washington Street in Attleboro.


Mashpee Police Captain Scott W. Carline said that Mr. Wheeler is also a suspect in other jewelry store robberies in the three-state region, and was placed on the "Massachusetts Most Wanted" website by the Burlington Police Department.

Mr. Wheeler was held on $10,000 bail last night at the Barnstable County Correctional Facility, and was transported to Attleboro this morning to face charges.

Mashpee Police Master Officer Michael A. Assad and Officer Ryan Nardone made the arrest.
