Mashpee Police Seek Suspect In Attempted Murder Of Pregnant Woman

The Mashpee Police Department responded to its second violent crime scene of the weekend last night, and are currently searching for a suspect in the attempted murder of a pregnant woman.

Shortly after 8 PM, officers were called to the La Plaza Del Sol Motel on Route 130 for a report of a violent domestic disturbance. An injured pregnant woman was treated and evaluated by medical personnel at the scene.


As a result of an investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for Elie M. Pilet, 35, a resident of the motel. He will be charged with assault and battery of a pregnant person, and attempted murder.

Mashpee Police Captain Scott W. Carline declined to release further details regarding the incident.

On Saturday morning, Mashpee police responded to a shooting and attempted homicide at 162 Gleneagle Drive in New Seabury.
