Diane M. Johnson, the mother of one of the two men arrested in connection with last month's shooting on Lakewood Drive, has been arrested on drug charges.
According to police reports on file at Falmouth District Court, 25 pounds of marijuana were found in the trunk of Ms. Johnson's vehicle following the execution of a search warrant at 24 Heritage Drive in Bourne last Wednesday evening.
Ms. Johnson was charged with possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute.
Captain Scott Carline of the Mashpee Police Department confirmed that Ms. Johnson, 46, of Mashpee, is the mother of David Landry, who is being held on several charges related to the shooting of 24-year-old Jarran Watkins on February 29. Mr. Watkins continues to recover from life-threatening injuries at a Boston hospital.
According to police reports, the shooting of Mr. Watkins was related to money owed from drug dealing.
Captain Carline said that follow-up to the arrests of Mr. Landry and Mr. Dickerson led to the Bourne residence, and that the investigation remains ongoing and active. Several agencies, including the Massachusetts State Police, Bourne Police, and the Cape Cod Task Force participated in the execution of the search warrant, according to court records.
At his arraignment last week, Mr. Landry, who has a lengthy criminal record, was ordered held on $100,000 bail, which has since been revoked.
During the same search warrant execution in Bourne, Shanelle K. Chisholm, 22, also of Mashpee, was arrested for being in possession of an estimated ten pounds of marijuana.
Ms. Johnson and Ms. Chisholm each posted $5,000 bail.
A pretrial hearing for Ms. Johnson has been scheduled for April 9 at Falmouth District Court.
According to the Town of Bourne Assessor's Office website, the owner of the Heritage Drive home is Stacy Rowe of East Falmouth.
