Tribal Chairman To Receive Honorary Doctorate

Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Chairman Cedric Cromwell will be presented with an honorary doctor of laws degree from Suffolk University Law School at its commencement ceremony later this month.


Chairman Cromwell will be joined on stage by Senator Edward J. Markey and keynote speaker Abe Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League. Joining Mr. Cromwell as honorary degree recipients will be William Hubbard, president-elect of the American Bar Association, and the Honorable Carl Stewart, chief judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

The commencement ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, at 1 PM at The Wang Center on Tremont Street in Boston.
