Betty Jean Wylie, 88, of Pocasset died on August 7.
She was the wife of the late Raymond F. Wylie, who died in 2012.
Born in Bedford, Pennsylvania, Ms. Wylie was the daughter of Charles F. and Ada (Leonard) Watters. She graduated from Bedford High School in 1944.
In the 1960s Ms. Wylie worked as a volunteer at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. An avid gardener, she also was a member of the Weymouth Garden Club.
She started summering in Pocasset in 1968 and spent many winters in Fort Myers, Florida, with her husband. In the late 1980s she moved to Pocasset permanently.
Ms. Wylie was a member of the Pocasset Golf Club for many years. She was also very active in the North Falmouth Congregational Church.
She leaves her son, Thomas R. Wylie and his wife, Delian D. Wylie, of Pocasset; and two grandsons, Gregory and Daniel Wylie.
She was the sister of the late Vivian Silsby, Harriet Waugerman, and Charles Watters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, at 11:30 AM at North Falmouth Congregational Church, 155 Old Main Road.
A reception will follow at the church.
Burial will be at 1:45 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
