Cory Morton of New Bedford, a former Falmouth resident, died unexpectedly on April 12. He was 29.
He was the husband of Teri (Whitcomb) Morton, to whom he had been married for three years.
Mr. Morton graduated from Falmouth High School, where he was on the track team.
He worked for Briggs Landscaping.
He enjoyed spending time at the beach with his family and was also fond of scuba diving.
His wife is due to give birth to his daughter, who they had decided to name Charlee Lynn Morton, in September.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughters, Hannah Blanchard, Allison Blanchard, Katelyn Blanchard, and Ella Ryan; his siblings, Stephanie Morton and Tim Cox; his parents, Mike and Jennifer Morton, and Clifford Brunette; his grandparents, Carol Grinnell and Mike Rogers, Mary Brunette, Sandy Silva and Henry Brunette; and his aunt and uncle, Kathy and John Peila.
He was predeceased by his mother, Karen (Grinnell) Cox.
Visiting hours are on Friday, April 18, from 4 to 7 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, April 19, at the funeral home.
