Diane E. Brown, a former resident of Falmouth, died at her home in Bristol, Maine, on April 8. She was 71.
Ms. Brown, the daughter of Charles and Alice Thayer, was born and raised in Brockton, where she attended local schools and graduated from Brockton High School.
After high school Ms. Brown, known as Dee, worked at Angelo’s Supermarket in Sandwich. Eventually she opened Dee’s Padd in North Falmouth and ran the restaurant for several years.
She enjoyed cooking for pleasure and work, watching the New England Patriots and the wildlife in her backyard, and spending time on the beaches of North Falmouth.
Ms. Brown leaves her husband of 38 years, Edmund K. Brown of Bristol, Maine; her son, Kris Gundberg of Falmouth; her granddaughters, Jackie Gundberg of Providence, Rhode Island, and Kristine Gundberg of Onset; her grandson, Nicholas Gundberg of Sandwich; and her sister, Beverly Dooley of Bridgewater.
