Donald Harding Gillis, 91, of Plymouth died on June 16. Mr. Gillis leaves family in Bourne.
He was born in Framingham, the son of Hugh and Mary J. (McLellan) Gillis. He was a graduate of Framingham High School.
Mr. Gillis served in the US Navy as a gunner’s mate, 2nd class, during World War II.
He leaves his sister, Mary Dow of Buzzards Bay; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gillis was predeceased by his brothers, Robert A. and John A. Gillis. He was also predeceased by three sisters, Jean T. Gillis, Catherine Waugh, and Margaret Gassett.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 20, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street (corner of Union Avenue), Framingham. A funeral Mass will follow at 10 AM in St. Stephen’s Church, 221 Concord Street, (Route 126), Framingham.
Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, 221 Concord Street, Framingham.
