Ernest G. Crane, 93, of North Falmouth died on April 5.
He was the widower of Charlotte H. (Dowse) Crane, who died in 2012.
Mr. Crane earned his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Duke University and his master of science degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.
He served as a lieutenant in the US Navy during World War II and later became an executive in the defense industry, working for several corporations before retiring from GTE in 1986.
He formerly live in Sudbury.
Throughout his career Mr. Crane served on several committees supporting the US Navy, earning meritorious and distinguished service awards.
He leaves his children, Robert Crane and his wife, Frances Crane, of Cohasset, Linda Breiding and her husband, Douglas Breiding, of Merrick, New York, and Thomas Crane and his wife, Cynthia Crane, of Bellingham; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday, April 8, at the North Falmouth Congregational Church, 155 Old Main Road, North Falmouth, followed by interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
