Ethelyn Geraldine (Manley) Menard, 102, died August 14 after five years of residence at Cape Heritage Nursing Home in Sandwich. She leaves family in Sandwich.
She was the wife of the late Walter S. Williams and Alfred A. Menard.
The daughter of Alice (Vineberg) Manley and Louis H. Manley, Ms. Menard was born and raised in Taunton and attended Taunton schools. She is registered in the Mayflower Historical Society in Plymouth as a descendent of the John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley family.
Ms. Menard worked at the Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton. Following her retirement, she worked for the VNA of Southeastern Massachusetts.
She leaves her two daughters, Geraldine Menard of Sandwich and Jeanne Picchi and her husband, John Picchi, of Attleboro; and her son, Phillip Menard and his wife, Linda Menard, of Onset.
Ms. Menard also leaves nine grandchildren, Donna Stanton of Newton, Sharon Molinaro of Florida, Jane Nolan of Harwichport, David Whalen of California, Scott Whalen, Michael Whalen, and Bradley Whalen, all of Taunton, Jeffrey Whalen of Sandwich, and Karin Brady of Dighton; 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Walter M. Williams.
Ms. Menard will be cremated. A private graveside ceremony will be held in Westville Cemetery in Taunton.
